what is the best way to color fondant? I know this may be a simple question but I am just starting out...literally.

Hi! Welcome!

The best way to color fondant is to add a little bit of gel color and knead it in until it's all the same color. If you have gloves you may want to wear them, or have rainbow hands for a few days.

If you coat your hands with shortening first, you won't have color-stained hands. icon_smile.gif

The only way I will color fondant now is by microwaving it first. This makes it soft and pliable and so much quicker and easier to blend.

welcome to the family!!!!....gloves is the BEST suggestion ahhaha....i had to go to work the other day with purple hands......AWKWARD!!!
