Does anyone know how to get a chrome effect on gumpaste/fondant. I know they have products that are edible that will allow for a silver colour/effect. But I am hoping to be able to acheive a high shine chrome finish. Can anyone help??? icon_confused.gif

TCP Global has some great mettalic airbrush colors, then once you apply and dry go over it with confectioner's glaze...Global Sugar Art sells it.

Americolor airbrush colors can be painted on with a paintbrush too. It's a very shiny metallic effect. You could follow it up with confectioner's glaze to boost the shine.

If you're looking for that very smooth, reflective finish I think you're looking for, you will need to use silver leaf. It's a real bite to work with, and I've never, ever, seen it applied perfectly smooth.
