I am making a cake that needs brown for dirt. I used chocolate butter cream which wasn't as dark as I wanted (it was more of a tan) thought I had some brown color but didn't so I added a little black which made it sort of gray and then I added a little red which made it a little better. It is usable but I would like to get it darker brown. Any suggestions? Right now it's a light brownish/grayish color.

I try to keep the Hershey's special dark cocoa on hand for things like that.

Also, if you mix all 3 primaries together, it makes brown.

I ended up adding the melted chocolate and it worked great...I was worried that it wouold make the icing bitter but it didn't. Thanks for helping!
