hello! ive only been doing the cake thing for the last 2 years..i havnt sold any of my cakes yet..its actually a very expensive hobby when it comes to supplies! anywho im looking into starting to sell my cakes or at least charge for supplies but this is a castle cake i did last week for my friends neice and i was just wondering what you ladies would charge..it took me HOURS everything is edible except the princess's which i bought at the disney store for $16.00..i wouldve loved to do all fondont but i made them a cake a few months ago and they dont like the tase and didnt want their guests to have to peal it off..so its a 12 inch octogon and 2 8 inch squares with buttercream and fondont accents...any advice for pricing would be much apprecaited! i spend a lot of time on my cakes and itd be nice to get paid to do something i enjoy! thanks in advance!
I would charge well over $200.00 dollars and add in the cost of those Disnay figures also...Beautiful cake by the way!!
thank u everyone! as for cutting it they just removed the turrets and there was 2 tiers,1 12 inch octogon and 1 8 inch so it was just cut like a regular cake
I charge $2.25/serv. for tiered cakes (once you stack em' it's a tiered cake)...so however many that serves X $2.25, plus an extra charge for plates/pillars, plus $5.00 per tower for all edible (those are a lot of work), and of course the cost of the dolls plus $10.00 (for gas and time spent shopping for the dolls, if the customer wants to provide them then no extra charge for them)
