Okay, so you know that I am doing a castle cake for Eva's 1st Bday this weekend. Well, I have designed it out and I have my work cut out for me!!!! I am going to do what one user here did and mold little circles of fondant all around the towers and parts of the cake so I think I have to cut a billion circles of fondant! I am starting Friday with the towers then Saturday evening to sunday mornign will be finishing the cake. Its gonna be big! I decided that i didn't want it look like the same old castle cake so it has a fantasy looking twist! I can't wait to put it together and post pics!!!!

Good luck with the cake! I know it will be great bc it is a gift of love to your little girl! Maybe you could enlist the help of a friend to help you cut all of those fondant circles...that's what I did for my Mermaid's scales...three sizes of ovals! It took two of us at least 1-1/2 hrs...not to mention how long it took to add each one of those to the cake (and like yours...it was a MAMMOTH!!!)

Go into it with both horns, Girl! You can do it!!!!!

Please do post it when you've completed your masterpiece! Can't wait to see it! Castle cakes can be challenging. I've only made one, and well... I'm just glad I took pictures before we transported it to the party! lol
