I am thinking of using MDF for a cake board for a cake I am making this weekend. Can someone help me with how I would cover it? The theme is Cars, so I thought maybe a checker board design, but I have no idea how to get the fondant to stick to the board. Do I need to cover the board with something before I lay the fondant? Any tips would be appreciated.

I usually just cover it in foil or plastic wrap and use tylose glue to stick the fondant in.
