I have worked with MMF for a bit now and have not run into this problem. I am hoping someone knows what I am talking about and is able to tell me how to fix the fondant next time. What happened this past weekend was the fondant became super sticky the second I put it on the cake. Normally once I place the fondant on the cake I am able to cover my hands with starch and rub the sides/top to smooth it out and ensure no air bubbles are on the cake. This time the second I did that the fondant ripped because it stuck to my hand (even though I had corn starch on my hands). It was super humid could this happen because of the humidity? Thanks for the help

Yes, that happens if it's really humid. Sometimes there's nothing you can do about it. It helps a little bit to use crisco instead of corn strarch when it's that humid.
