So, my son and I were playing with play-do so I decided to try making a rose. I've never tried before, and I've actually never watched any of the instructional videos. What do y'all think?

I know the leaves look the worst. But I used one of the plastic knives that came with the play-do to do them! icon_lol.gif

I think it looks like a really really pretty whimsical rose. Well done!

If you want to make something realistic, check out the flower tutorials on my signature.

I think you've got talent.

This rose looks good. I thinkk it would be a great replacement for the rolled ribbon rose.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks!

Rylan, I plan on watching the flower tutorials. I just haven't taken time to load them. I live out in the boonies and am stuck with dial-up. So, needless to say, it takes a long time to load!

thumbs_up.gif It sure looks like a flower to me. icon_biggrin.gif Isn't it so much fun to play with playdoh, and pretend it's gumpaste.lol I wish i was into making more gumpaste stuff when my son was little. I don't know how many bowls, and balls i made with playdoh over and over...roses, flowers, people are so much more fun. It's a great medium because you can practise over and over and it doesn't dry out.
Very nice flower. i agree with the others..if you can do that with playdoh you've got a natural talent.

thanks so much for the compliments, everyone! You're very encouraging!

I watched a tutorial, and gave the rose another shot. Came out with this

Edit: I tried another one, and I think it came out better. It needs to be bigger, but I ran out of Play-Doh!
