Hi,
I am very new to all of this, I am making a couple of cakes for friends. Both are due on Saturday, so I will need to work on them during the week.

My question is.. How long can an iced cake sit out before it gets stale?
I am using buttercream for the icing and the filling.
I am planning on taking them out of the freezer and crumb coating them on Wed night. Icing them on Thurs and doing the decorating on Friday evening.

Thanks in advance for your help..

Most of the time I bake on Wed, ice and decorate on Thur and Fri for Sat cakes. Your timeline will be fine.
