I have a friend who has ordered cakes from me many times she has now moved to NC. Her husband and his group of guys have gone to afganistan for i think a year. She recently wrote me and asked me if i would help her with something,

She is thinking she would like to send a cookie type cake to her husband and his group once a month. Well she is thinking it might take 2 weeks to get to them.

I am not really sure anything will stay very fresh but i did think maybe pound cakes cooked thin in a 6 in cake pan. then maybe frosting them with poured frosting. Letting it dry then packing it in a cello bag. does anyone else have any suggestions.

You might check out www.soldiersangels.com. It offers some excellent ways to support our troops including sending baked goods.
