I am a self-taught novice who has been drafted to make a wedding cake for my nephew's wedding. I found the Wilton Sparkling Gel Piping in red that suits the theme to a T but wondering how well it will hold up for some scroll work on the sides of a white Icing Square cake. Concerned about running, bleeding, how long it can be done in advance etc. Anyone with any suggestions or past experience with the product please HELP!

Thanks Much

Thanks for the info. I have a test cake just out of the oven and going to do just that. Better safe than sorry. I'm not too much of a fan of the pre bought icings, gels etc. but right now my "spare time" is just about stretched as far as it possibly could be and trying to take the quickest route if possible.

I also bought it, tried it, and it was gross, runny and was tossed in the garbage. Waste of money.
