Hello
I am newbie, In my class we had to make a cake using fondant.
I used the wilton fondant and it was very blah tasting. I have to make another fondant cake and a suggestion was given to use flavored fondant, is there one brand better tasting than the other or what do I buy.
(I would like to do a chocolate or white chocolate

Thanks
Gigi

From my experience, most commercial fondant is for decoration, and not flavor.

I suggest making MMF (marshmallow fondant). It tastes alot better plain...and you can add clear flavorings (vanilla, lemon, etc) to alter the taste.

Search the forums for the MMF recipie
