I just made a white cake as a practice cake to decorate. I haven't had a piece of it, because I want to will and frost it so I can practice decorating it, but I don't think it came out tasting that good - I took a small piece from the bottom to taste.

I'm curious as to what recipe you use as a staple for your decorated cakes and if you wouldn't mind sharing them? I thought the one I made would be good with a chocolate chip buttercream filling. Hopefully it will.

I have an upcoming birthday cake to make as well as a christening cake. Previously I've purchased store bought cakes and decorated them. But I really want to start making them myself.

Thanks so much for your help!

The best and most popular with many customers is the WASC.
White Almond Sour Cream
You can make that in any flavor by changing a couple ingredents

Thanks so much for the recommendation! Just a quick question, what is the baking time of this recipe? Also what sort of modifications can you make for different flavors?
