How Do I Get A Gold Color?

Hello guys, can anyone tell how I can get a gold cold? Im planning a 50th birthday for a customer and I dont know how to get the fondant coloured to gold.

Every suggestion will be appreciated.

Either paint it with gold airbrush color (with or without an airbrush, I just use a paintbrush because I don't have an airbrush), or color your fondant yellow or light tan and paint it with a mix of luster dust and vodka, or just dry-brush the gold luster dust on.

FYI, Wilton's gold luster dust isn't very gold.

Yeah. I used the Wilton gold dust and it looked like shimmery beige. I was sort of disappointed.

Hi,
I used a mix of skin color and golden yellow to get gold, then I brushed with gold dust mixed with vodka .
