I had to bring a cake to my BF's house about 40 miles away (on a bumpy highway eek). I got a plastic cake base and dome from the bakery I work for and put my creation in it but I have none of that shelf liner to stop the slipping in the car. I got a small shallow box and put three rolls of toilet paper around the cake container. Worked like a charm, my cake did not move at all. Funny thing happened when I was driving home with the box and three rolls of TP in it. The guy at the toll booth looked in the car and looked at me, probably wondering what emergency would warrant three rolls of toilet paper right next to me. He did not ask but I knew he was aching to haha. I laughed for a few miles!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I laughed so hard that my eyes were watering -- thanks for sharing the funny story!!

(Oh, and thanks for telling me how to transport a cake pedestal. I actually asked for suggestions in a forum this week, but nobody suggested TP!)
