i made some mmf(mm, water, ps) and it's really stretchy. i need a cutout to stand on top of a cake.

1. is it going to harden?
2. how thick does the cutout need to be?

Well, I'm no expert, but by itself, no, the MMF won't dry hard enough in that amount of time. Do you have any Tylose powder, or gumpaste? I'd either make it out of straight gumpaste, or mix in a bunch of tylose, to try to get it to dry in that short amount of time. If you don't have either, consider cutting out a shape in cardboard and covering it with the MMF?? Then just don't eat it, obviously. HTH!
