I have a major cracked cake, and I don't know if I can salvage it. What would you do?? I have to bake another obviously if I can't do anything, but do you think it would be a bad idea to try and salvage it? won't it fall apart under the weight of another?? it's for a wedding cake., it'll be the middle tier of 3.

Is it cracked completely in half? If it just has a crack in it that you can glue back together with icing you could still use it. If it's cracked too much it will be reallly noticeable when it's cut, though, so warn the person who will cut the cake of the situation.

As long as it's doweleld right it shouldn't fall apart, as long as it's glued together well. If it's totally in half I'd bake another one, though. icon_sad.gif
