What is embossed buttercream & how do u make it?

embossed means it has a pattern on it, you can come up with one of your own, i did see the cake boss use a little square piece of wood and rolled around the cake, course he makes it looks so easy, i've picked up some things at the dollar store with a pattern on them, most people buy the mats and you lay it against the buttercream to make the impression, I found a site on e-bay that sells small one's it has hearts on it, it was 8 dollars, i thought i'd give it a try, but you'd be suprised what you can find with designs on them just make sure they are food safe
