I was so pleased the engagment cake I making was just about finished baking and looked good. Then I looked at my hand and noticed the diamond from my engagment ring was missing icon_sad.gif Thinking about what could have happened there was every chance it had gone into the cake, thankfully on my way to the shop to buy some more ingedients to start over. I found it sitting right in front of the car stearing wheel. icon_biggrin.gif Just wanted to share my story cause I am so glad it had a happy ending. Thanks for reading.

I thought for sure it was in the cake! I'm so glad you saved yourself a trip to the store and having to re-bake the cake. Thanks for sharing! icon_smile.gif

lol very ironic, if had that been me, my heart would of instantly sank and i would of been in a blind panick freaking out lol!

Oh my gosh! I'm glad that you found the diamond. That reminds me of Friends though - when Monica lost her blue fingernail in one of the mini-quiches she was making for her mother's party. And Phoebe said, you pulled a Monica.
