I've been asked to do two cakes for a couple of baby boys being blessed at Church this Sunday. Anybody have an idea for how I should decorate two sheet cakes? They are for two different families.

Teach me -

Is this blessing like a baptism, or like an invocation and introduction to the congregation? Is the Holy Spirit invoked?

Being formerly Catholic, I am not familiar with many other denominations, so if you give me some more information, I may be better able to suggest a few things.

It is not a baptism. It is like a prayer, invoking the Holy Spirit, and asking a blessing on the baby. What is said in the prayer is up to whomever is giving it, but usually a blessing of health, and strength, and a knowledge that the baby is loved by his family, and Father in Heaven are mentioned. I know I can do something in the "baby" category, but I'd like to have at least something clever and sweet to write on the cake.

I think this quote is sweet:

"Babies are a link between angels and man."
