How Much Fondant?

Hi! I am using Satin Ice fondant for the first time and I was wondering if 2lbs was enough to cover a 6in and 10in round double layer cakes..Please help!! Thanks so much!!!

Global has a very good chart for Satin Ice - check out

They are recommending 18 oz for your 6" and 36 oz for your 10", or almost 3 1/2 pounds. You will probably have a little left over, but you need to roll out a slightly larger circle than you need to start and trim once the cake is covered.

I made the cake today and had just enough to cover both cakes and the board..I had bought an extra 2lbs, but I didn't need it, oh well I'll just save it for next time, Thanks so much again...
