Groom's Cake ???

Have a cake due this weekend. Football with a college/state logo on it. I s there normally writing on a groom's cake...i.e. bride and groom name, congrats..anything?

I guess it really depends on what the bride and groom want. I did a grooms cake for my best friend back in June. It's the soccer cake in my pics. I didn't do any writing on it.

thanks!! Groom's cakes are not common around here. I am sure, people are going to wonder why there is a football cake there.

i don't recall seeing writing on most of the groom's cakes on here.........but if they want it........give em' what they want! If they don't request anything, I'd leave it off.

yeah groom's cakes aren't that common here either-i just did one to include the groom's fav baseball team (and at first i thought it was better than the wedding cake-not now though). i think it's just a way to include something special of the groom
