See what the power of friendship and support can do???!!!!!

I told the bride today that if she lets me know what kind of cake she wants (style, flavours etc) and I am comfortable with it I will do it for her wedding.

I never would have done this without the encouragement for you all last night. You were all so right. I have to take that first scary step and go for it. I am just giving you prior warning I will be a gibbering mess in about 9 months time and will be calling all of you to hold my hand!!!

ooo I just spotted a fellow kiwi! Nice to finally see one here, I thought I was all alone!! icon_cry.gif Your work is lovely, I too think you will make the most beautiful cake. Especially if its for a friend, you can always tell when it's made for someone you care about. Good luck and don't forget to post lots of pics when its done!

You have heaps of time to get this right, the longest i've had for a wedding cake is 6 to 8 weeks.... now thats stressful.....lol

yes I am in Levin. And yes I am well addicted. I am in the 'rationing' stage when I realised that when the kids need me they head straight to the computer room! Actually I have advertised this site heaps on the trademe message board, every time a cake decorating thread comes up. Sometimes I'm a bit torn between doing that and saving my secret weapon all to myself!

Yippee for the bride that made a very wise choice. I'm sure that whatever she decides she wants you will be able to do. She will be getting not just a wedding cake but a FABULOUS, BEAUTIFUL, STUPENDOUS, MARVELLOUS wedding cake. You can do it!

9 months? By that time, you'll be so good, she won't be able to afford you. Think of all the practice you'll have by then. probably your own TV show, Book etc. Believe in yourself, you've got serious talent, you'll surpass yourself, I know it
