I created a surfing cake for my cousin's 13th birthday. To go on top of the surf board I made a fondant surfer (1st time sculpting). I guess that I didn't secure him to the dowel well enough because when we got back he fell off (or wiped out or even suffered from a shark attack). Luckily 13 year old boys dig this sort of thing because my cousin thought it was awesome, and I had taken pics of it intact before we left for the water park.

Your cake looked really cute! Sorry your surfer wiped out but at least the kid liked it! Did look kinda like a shark got him. Now that is cool for a 13 yr old! Glad it all went well for you.
