I'm doing an ivory and gold cake (semi-monochromatic) and normally I'd do a green calyx on my gum paste roses but I don't think that is the right thing for this cake b/c I don't really want to add in another color...should I leave off the calyxes or make them gold or ivory?

i think in this case the green is too real, so your right not to bother.
i like the idea of doing it in the gold or ivory though. i think leaving off the caylyx would be fine too, but doing it just seems a bit more finished and classy in my head - although its probably one of those details others wouldnt notice, i bet it would bug you!
