Hi folks! Sometimes I just die laughing at some of your replies to things! We have a million different senses of humor on CC... why don't we start a Quote of the Week thread and we can all share the best one you've read.
If we do, let's keep it light and funny so it will be a fun one!
My favorite Quote of the Week so far:
"Someone is always cleaning out old cupboards because they've decided to become snowbirds." - 7yyrt in the Wilton thread![]()
I still have my dragon one in my signature. I got it from someone in a Yahoo group.
Mae West and Sophie Tucker were the two most brazen and scandalous women of their day. Here are a couple from Miss Mae. I'll catch you up with Miss Sophie later.
"It isn't what I do, but how I do it. It isn't what I say, but how I say it, and how I look when I do it and say it."
"Look your best - who said love is blind?"
"Cultivate your curves - they may be dangerous but they won't be avoided."
"Don't keep a man guessing too long - he's sure to find the answer somewhere else."
"He who hesitates is a damned fool."
"He's the kind of man a woman would have to marry to get rid of."

I LOVE and collect quotes. Some of my favorites from my collection:
"If you've done it .... it AIN'T braggin'!" .... will rogers
"Don't get your knickers in a knot ... it just makes you walk funny."
"Good things come to those who wait ... but only the things left by those who hustle." .... Abraham Lincoln
LOVE Miss Mae!! Couple from her:
"Good girls keep diaries. Bad girls dont' have time."
"When I have to choose between two evils, I like to pick the one I haven't tried before."
One of my favorites is:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. I was married for 24 years and have just been divorced for 3 years now. I decided to try to live by these words- and wow - what a ride!
how about everyone's favorite...
champagne dreams on a beer budget
I have always liked (and truly try to live) this one:
Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
My all time fav:
I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do. Helen Keller
My all time fav:
I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do. Helen Keller
