I have an extreme cake coming up and a portion of it needs to rotate. I can not find a small DC motor that will rotate at approx. 10 rpm. The smallest I can find is from Radion Shack and it rotates at 8500 rpm.....way too fast for this application! Any one have any idea where to find a motor that small and that slow or has anyone done this before that can offer some advice?

Thanks!

Check out Sharon Zambito's blog. She has a red/white/blue cake she did for someone with a top lid opening and closing very slowly as well as a rotating part. I think she talks about using some sort of small toy motor to get the job done.

Here is the link to her web site. Click on "enter blog" and then scroll down and you'll see the cake and video of it working too!
