How Long For Buttercream To Crust

I'm using sugarshack BC, how long does it take to crust? I keep poking at it and keep getting a fingerfull of icing icon_smile.gif

I'm not sure about sugar shack's BC, most crusting BC's should have a good crust on them after 30 min.

I would assume that it depends by location. I usually let mines crust in the fridge. However I do agree that 30 minutes is a good approximation.

My icing (1 cup crisco to 1lb powder sugar) usually takes 10-15 mins at most to crust. It really never takes that long. I love in Texas with that wonderful humidity.

If you are smoothing it after it crusts you want to make sure you don't let it crust too long or you will have elephant skin icing.
