I have a friend who wants me to make her a cake, and the bachelorette wants a vanilla almond cake with butter cream icing. I have a butter cream icing that I love, but i'm a box cake user! Can I get a vanilla cake batter and add almond extract to it? Or is that gross? Any help will be great!!! Thank you!!!
Boxed cake is great, but try this....
1 box of white cake mix
1 cup of flour
1 cup of sugar
1 box of vanilla pudding
3 eggs at room temp
1 cup of sour cream or 1 cup of vanilla yogurt ( i dont use low fat)
1 cup of whole milk
2 T of oil
1 T of almond extract
I bake at 325 until skewer comes out clean....if you let me know what size cakes you are baking I can give you an idea of approx time in oven.
