Hi All!!

For those who use Sharon Zambito's Chocolate Buttercream Receipe, I have a question.

According to her blog, she has this receipe. In it she states to "Dump" Coco in the mix. She states she does not measure the amount. This is going to be my first attempt at this receipe. Can a "veteran" who uses this tell me how much Coco I should start out with??? Which brand of Coco is the best out there??

Any tips is appreciated.

Thank you

=)

Good question, I'd also be interested. Here's a bump.

Just my two cents, I would add cocoa before adding all of the powdered sugar. I think cocoa tends to "dry out" the buttercream. I would just add till I got it the shade or flavor I wanted.

suzylynn58....

Thank you for the tip. Sharon's blog does state to add the Coca before the P. Sugar. I guess I will just add a little at a time....

Thank You,

=)

I would also add Cocoa before the powdered sugar. I use Hersheys! The amount depends on the size of batch you are whipping up. I too, have never measured it, so perhaps someone can help with that.

I do not know what her recipe calls for but I put 1 1/4 cup in my chocolate buttercream.

Forgot to say this is for a batch icing that calls for 2 lbs. of powdered sugar
