Hi all i'm almost done with the plane, just have decorate the bottom cake and add touches to the airplane. i need a silver color for stripes, i have silver foliage, do i mix it with alcohol . when i mix my gel colors to tone them down in color, i know i remove it from jar but do i add water? Thanks all, it's coming out pretty good.

I just mix alcohol and the silver and then paint it on the gumpaste. It helps to start with gray gumpaste. But if not, you can make do. You might have to do 2 or 3 coats of silver to get it to the right shade.
