Lots of royal blue until you get a dark blue then start adding black..You will need a fair bit but it will turn navy!!
I usually add a small amount of black to the blue to get a darker color. I don't know if this is the right way or not. I am new at this. Good luck!
I'm glad it worked out for ya. Next time you need navy blue I'd pick up some Americolor Navy. It is a great navy color.

Thanks so much for the tips, folks!! Here's a pic of my 'navy' Yankees/Graduation cake.
It definitely darkened up over time. Worked out great. (Those pinstripes were a PITA though...way harder to get them straight than I anticipated!)
