Hello

I'm doing an Italian mama making pasta at table on top of a square fruit cake. So far so good she's nearly done, but I'm having problem making glasses for her. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? They do not have to be edible but I do have to be able to make them myself as it's due friday and I will not be able to get to any specialists shops this week as hubby away with car.

Thanks for any advice.
Claire

If you want them to be edible, you could use royal icing piped through a smll round tip.

Aine2 has a "How To" video on her Extra Icing blog on making spectacles from wire. See www.extra-icing.blogspot.com.

Do you have any wire? It was easy to shape, that is what I used for the glasses for the man in my train engineer cake

Thanks everyone. I like the idea of using wire (I am the world's worst piper) I will def try that next time. I am ashamed to say I have talked my customer out of it though as she only wears them for reading she wouldn't have them on for pasta making icon_smile.gif It would happen this week when I've got no car and no child care argh. Still cake looks good so far I'll post when it's done.

Thanks again for all your help.
