Stacked Vintage Mirro Party Cake

Would you use dowel rods to stack the following tiers:
Pan sizes are 9 x 1 1/2, 7 1/4 x 1 1/2, 5 1/2 x 1 1/2, 3 1/4 x 1 1/2.
This is for the vintage mirro party cake 4 tier pan set. Thanks for any input.

i would dowel anything, two tiers and up. better to be safe than sorry.
