CAn you mix gumpaste poweder with fondant to make it stronger, or set up faster? Is it the same as talose powder, i have never used it but i hear about it on hear.

I dont think its exactly the same. If you do a 50/50 mix of gumpaste/fondant, i dont believe it sets quite as hard. From what I understand tylose turns fondant INTO gumpaste...Im sure someone will correct me if Im wrong. lol

I used tylose in my MMF and man it got hard in a few minutes. Even if it was covered it started hardening. So I only mixed the tylose in small batches so I could shape it before I got too crusty.
