Sheet Cakes For Wedding

The wedding cake is all dummy layers. It will be removed and the sheet cakes will be cut and served from the kitchen area. Should they be 1 layer......1 layer torted.....or 2 layers? What is the norm in this situation?

I hope you are charging enough to make the dummies!!

It would depend I guess...talk with your bride to see what she wants and then charge her accordingly. If I were the bride, I would want 2 layers torted but that's me...then again I wouldn't have a dummy icon_wink.gif

I don't torte my cakes, so I would do them as two full layers. In other words, they should be about 4" tall.
