Hi Everyone,
I am wondering how much buttercream I will need to ice and fill a 3 tier cake, 6-10-14 inch round cakes. Each tier will be 2 layers, and abount 4 inches high.

I have seen the wilton charts that say the number if cups of icing needed to ice a 2 layer cake, however, they have the quantity in cups and not in pounds. I'm looking into buying buttercream instead of making it myself, and it's only sold in pounds.

Any ideas? According to the chart, I'd need 15.5 cups.

Thanks!

15.5 cups equals 7.75 pounds. I find you can google for just about any kind of conversion calculator. HTH

Thanks. I saw a 10 lb bucket for sale, and it just didn't look like enough! icon_smile.gif
