Hi, i am making a fondant bow for a topper, and it's my first one , and i looked at the wilton book to see how to do it, and it looks simple, but i don't have any fondant adhesive or melted candy to attach the loops together, do i really need this, or could i use buttercream?? thanks i have to get it done today !

For a loopy bow, I use a small mound of BC colored the same as the bow (shove the flat ends of each loop into the BC starting at the bottom and working to the top).
For a dress (2 loop) bow, I use clear vanilla to make the fondant stick together.
Good Luck!

Fondant adhesive is just a piece of fondant in a bowl with some water added. (the fondant dissolves and it makes a "glue") Not hard to make at all!

You can also use roayl icing as your glue too.
