Out Of Pan Spray - Need Recipe For Oil And Flour You Brush-

-on the pan. Anyone? Do I even need flour? Can I just brush the pans with oil?

Equal parts oil, flour and crisco. Brush it on and you're done! You can make a big batch or a little batch - works great and it's cheap!! (relatively speaking) Good luck!

You could always crisco, oil, or butter your pans and then dust them with flour. I actually like to dust mine w/ a combo of flour and powdered sugar (or cocoa powder for choc. cake).

I have used the homemade pan release (equal parts of oil, crisco, & flour) and I hate it! Maybe I use too much on the pan but the cake always comes out bubbley looking on all the pan surfaces. I went back to coating the pan with crisco and dusting with flour. Works great every time!

1 cup of crisco, 1/2 cup of oil and 1 cup of flour. Hope this helps icon_smile.gif

Thanks J-pal and simply sweet. I would up running to the store, but I'm glad to have this recipe again. One good thing about it is you don't spray all that oil in the air icon_biggrin.gif
