I have always used Toba Garrets chocolate buttercream but was wondering if there was a better one out there. I love the taste of hers, but it hards on the cake and doesn't taste as fluffy.

Any suggestions?

All I do is add cocoa powder to my regular buttercream recipe. You will have to add additional water to preserve the consistency. People love my chocolate frosting. It makes me laugh because after trying tons of chocolate "frosting" recipes that is the one people like the best.

Thanks, I will give that a try. I'm like you, I keep trying different ones. I love Toba's but when it dries, it is really hard. Maybe I am doing something wrong too.

I like the Chocolate Decorator's Buttercream from the recipe section. I use 1 extra square of chocolate to make it a little darker.
Good luck!
