I'm all set to make my first batch and am at the point where I'm waiting for the gelatin mixture to cool to lukewarm and something came up and I have to leave......is it possible to set everything aside and then re-heat the gelatin mixture??? Or do I have to start all over??????

Yes, you can reheat, but make sure that it is exactly lukewarm just before you strain the gelatin mixture in.
