$$$For A Cookie!!! Poem (Sorry Long)

This is for all you hard working designers that have heard this phrase too many times: It's just a cookie (or cake) when presenting your price to a client. I'm fortunate to just bake for family and friends, so I can make pretty much what I want since it's for free. But when they ask how much they would cost if they had to pay for them I get that same phrase. So I take my hat off to all of you that have to deal with this everyday. Please forgive any typing errors as I had to re-type this from my original. For all of you cake decorators this is for you too, just insert cake where you see the word cookie.
As The Cookie Crumbles
It's just a cookie I've been informed
For the umpteenth time this week
A cookie novice from the looks of her
As she scans my invoice, she shrieks
My itemized list still clenched in her hand
I know what her next words will be
It's just flour, sugar, butter and eggs
Do they think that my labor is free?
She seemed so sweet just a week ago
When she first waltzed through my door
This image has faded and been replaced
She's now Bridezilla to the core
The cookie in question is a work of art
With details from her gown
Ivory colored pearls, and cornelli lace
Topped with a fondant crown
When I try to explain all the labor involved
Just creating this custom design
I can feel a headache coming on
As I listen to her whine
With a budget she must adhere to
It's limit already stretched
Can't I please give her a #%&*ing break
As my prices seem a little farfetched
Picking my jaw up off the floor
My composure clearly shot
I tell her that my price still stands
Does she want the cookies or not?
Having just come from the bridal shop
A garment bag in her hand
I couldn't believe my ears when I heard
It was a steal at a mere ten grand
Her decision was to go elsewhere
She couldn't justify my price
Having spent a fortune on her gown
A couture original to be precise
Out of my stupor I address her again
My manners are not at their best
But for bakery artists everywhere
I said IT'S JUST A DRESS!
Susan-
