I am looking to see if anyone uses a specific tool to edge and smooth fondant covered cakes. I had 2 cakes go out today and was wondering if they could have been smoother.... I see on global they have different tools.. anyone have anything they suggest?

I have those edge edgers (LOL) and side smoother (the dark brown/blackish ones) and all I can say is GIANT WASTE OF MONEY.
I'm sure some swear by them, but I did not find them to be of any more value that my trusty Wilton fondant smoother. You are just not going to get a sharp edge on fondant unless you actually pinch it and then smooth it, as I saw Elisa Strauss demonstrate last month at the Austin cake show.
