Has anyone out there made a smores type of cake. I would like to use a cake mix and doctor it up. The cake will be covered in fondant (thinking chocolate) and is going to have a camping theme for decorations. I have done a search with luck. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Just a thought. I've had tons of smores in my cubscout camping days. I just read about an incredible Hersheys chocolate cake recipe yesterday in forums.

Maybe this recipe with some kind of marshmellow filling or chocolate ganache filling with chocolate ganache icing and MMF fondant. Just sounded like a smore. Never tried MMF before, but you'd think it tasted more like marshmellows. Can't wait to hear what you decide and how it tastes. Let us know.
