I was told that vegetable gum would work something like gum trag when added to fondant.

Is that true? If so, how much am I supposed to add?

TIA

Hm, which vegetable gum, or is "vegetable gum" the name? Gum trag, tylose, gum-tex (which is karaya) are technically vegetable gums...or would that be vegetative gums...? Botanical gums? Who knows; they come from plants LOL. I don't remember the amount but if you can track down that Aine2 tutorial she shows how much to add per amt of fondant. When I use small amts of fondant I just sprinkle some in...a dash for a golf-ball sized clump of fondant, a tsp for a handful, etc.

Anyway, sorry I don't have better information; I don't know how different gums perform with su gar craft, so I am not sure if the one you have will give you good results. I would just try some on a small amount of fondant to see what happens thumbs_up.gif
