What are the good cakes for cheese cream fosting? Aside from carrot cake and cheese cake. Please help. Thanks.

I also like it on banana cake, hummingbird cake and a hazelnut/raspberry cake recipe I dug up from somewhere deep in my vast cookbook pile icon_smile.gif

You could do a spice cake or a pumpkin cake with a cream cheese frosting as well.

I know that most people associate red velvet cake to Christmas, but I simply love red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting!!

Cream cheese frosting is great on anything. I love to make chocolate cream cheese for a yellow pound cake or the WASC. I also like to make a strawberry cream cheese for the WASC. You can make it any flavor for any cake. The tanginess of the cream cheese cuts the sweetness so you can add to any type of cake.

I like it on a plain chocolate cake. my favorite cupcakes from our farmers market are a choc cake with a fabulous cream cheese icing

Spice, pumpkin, lemon, red velvet (oh yum!!) carrot (an absolute must here) dark chocolate fudge just to name a few off the top of my head.
