Baking and decorating cakes has become a hobby of mine that I have become very passionate about and would love to pursue a career in. Can anyone please provide me with some tips/advice with starting a career in cake decorating, even though I have no professional training or background? My goal is to one day own my own business, but I would like to work in the industry.

Well, let me first say that I looked at your pics on here and you are certainly off to a great start. I know that FL doesn't allow home based cake businesses, so maybe you could work in a bakery to get some experience and gain speed (if you so desire). Taking a couple small-business courses would be a good start also.

Wow! Great cakes Lendler. I'm just a hobbiest too so I have no advice on a business.. But with those awesome cakes I'm sure any Bakery would love to have you work for them. You could surely get the inside scoop then. icon_biggrin.gif Good Luck!
