Fondant Rope Border

Hi all! I've never made a fondant rope border before, and am looking for tips on how to do one. I would like it to be made with alternating colors - red and black. Any tips on how to do this easily? Thanks!

Make it easy on yourself and buy a Makin's Professional Clay Extruder from Hobby Lobby (or online, available here: http://www.craftsetc.com/store/item.aspx?ItemId=61576&dep=50&cat=46&subcat=3&Search=Y).

You will have a multi-colored fondant rope border in a matter of like 2 minutes using that wonderful tool. icon_smile.gif

Thank you for posting that, i've been very curious about the Clay Extruder. I've noticed in the gallery people would often say that they use this to "write" out the name on the cake. Not sure i'f i'm making any sense.

I just got a clay extruder last week....$17 and worth every penny. Talk about making life easy!

It looks like you could do all sorts of things with that thing, depending on the insert you use!
