Weight Of A Cake?

Does anyone have any idea how much a cake weighs? I'm doing a cake for my nieces' wedding & was wondering if I could carry it fully assembled. It will be all buttercreme with fondant accents, 6, 8, 10, 12 & 14" tiers.

me personally I would be scared to death to transport a cake that size!!! I don't think I could carry it either!!! I would also be afraid of dropping it!!
Taking that much time making that large of a cake, I would transport it in a few sections, making "installation" a little quicker and a lot safer.

But that is just me!!!

Your probably right. I was planning on using the SPS system & thought it would transport OK but the height would also be an issue. I think I'll have to do it in sections. Thanks for your help.
