Cake Stand...supports How Much Weight?

I have an upcoming wedding, and the bride wants a very modern look to her cake. The cake is similar to the middle cake and green cake in the picture below. It will be 6", 8", 10", and 12" tiers. The 10" tier will be 8" tall, and the other tiers will be the standard 4" tall. Each of the cakes will have filling. She is wanting the cake to be displayed on a ceramic cake pedestal similar to the ones pictured. I'm concerned about the weight factor since the cakes in the pics are probably dummy cakes. Does anyone know how much weight a ceramic cake stand can support? If the ceramic pedestal won't support the weight, any ideas on how to display the cake and give it the modern look shown in the pictures?

More than the stand supporting the weight I would be worried about it tipping over on such a narrow base.

BUMP! Having issues figuring out how much cake these stands can hold. How many tiers do you think a ceramic/glass cake stand can handle? What's the most you've put on one?
